Permanent Cosmetics by Lori presented an interesting challenge: this was a business that was changing ownership and part of their name. We needed to differentiate from the old name and ownership, but we also needed to keep the most distinguishing feature of the old branding — the main flower element of the logo — which was familiar to the established clientele.
Their audience is primarily women who are looking for a permanent cosmetics expert to help them achieve natural-looking permanent cosmetics to feel more confident about their appearance. They want someone who not only has skillful expertise, but also a nurturing, considered approach.
By refining the flower icon, choosing a new typeface for the logo, as well as new supporting type, and supporting visual elements, the result is a refreshed brand that feels professional, modern yet feminine, nurturing, and premium.
